Eastern Shore talent shortage has cyber firm planning relocation to Howard County

After struggling to find new employees on the Eastern Shore, a Stevensville-based cyber security company is planning to open a satellite office in Howard County and eventually relocate there.

Fast-growing TheraPearl reaches deal to put pain relief products on Target's shelves

TheraPearl LLC has reached an agreement with Target Corp. to sell two of its products at more than 1,700 stores across the U.S. Columbia-based TheraPearl creates and distributes hot and cold packs for injuries such as sore backs and the occasional migraine. In addition to Target, its products can be found at Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

3D printing lab opens in Howard County (Video)

A new 3D printing lab opened Thursday in Howard County. It's expected not only to drive innovation and manufacturing, but also to bring more business to Maryland. The ribbon is cut and the doors to Howard County's first 3D innovation and prototyping lab are open for business.

Howard County Unveils New 3D Maryland Innovation + Prototyping Lab

3D Maryland, an initiative of the Howard County Economic Development Authority, today officially opened the state’s newest prototyping lab dedicated to the advancement of additive manufacturing, 3D printing and rapid technology. The Innovation + Prototyping Lab features industry-level workstations, a variety of industry standard professional software packages, and four 3D printers for prototyping. This new lab provides the facilities for 3D Maryland to offer seminars, workshops, classes, and customized training while also making the lab resources available to both individuals and groups.
