Online Platform for Ecommerce Distribution, Zentail, Expands from the MCE

Thursday, November 9, 2017

Zentail, an e-commerce insights platform, has graduated from the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE) into their own office space in Columbia on Alexander Bell Drive.

“The MCE was really good to us as we needed office space quickly, and supplied us with everything we needed fast,” said Daniel Sugarman, CEO for Zentail. “We knew we would need support as soon as possible because of the rate of our growth. The MCE was a perfect place to work until we were able to secure our permanent spot and we are grateful for their services”.

The MCE is a 26,000-sq. ft. business incubator run by the Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) in Columbia, MD. It is home to 23 resident companies and provides a menu of client services for small businesses in the community.

“These are the kinds of success stories that the MCE produces,” said Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman. “Zentail is the latest example of a business that’s benefitted from being housed at the MCE, and we look forward to watch them building upon their current success.”

Zentail aspires to raise a series A investment in the next year, and service $1 billon in ecommerce in 2018. They have grown their workforce from eight employees to 11 during their time at the MCE. Zentail plans to meet this high demand in their new location, which has a floor plan of 4,000 square feet, says Sugarman.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to support Zentail through the services at the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship,” says Howard County Economic Development Authority CEO Lawrence Twele. “This is a great example of the mission of the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship; help companies grow and then move into the community.”
